It cannot be used with other models due to the embroidery arm motor specifications. The XP has a stronger motor and can easily handle the weight of that frame. Unfortunately, the V-Series, Stellaire and Dream Machine motors can be damaged over time. There is no need for pressure or physical force to be able to hoop the fabric. The magnets only need to be affixed while straightening out the wrinkles on the fabric.
