One person says prep your area as if you’re spraying WD-40 all over. Others complain the cans are too small, and that the top leaks or the straws don’t fit. What are you guys doing, soaking your gear in the stuff? Just a little shot is all you need. My cans came with the straws installed. The can’s hold more than enough for years of use. There are no leaks, no wasted product, and no mess. And no, I am not getting paid by the company to write this. No free product for my review was ever sent to me. I was refurbishing a 40-year-old receiver to build an office stereo. I purchased this product based on the reviews with my own money, for my own use. My receiver no longer sounds like an AM radio in a thunderstorm. The pots are all clean and lubricated. My vintage receiver is fully restored. The DeoxIT product performed perfectly and paid for itself many times over.**UPDATE 12/2019** I use this stuff all the time. A little squirt will do it. I just had a smoke detector beeping. I installed a new battery and it was still beeping. I placed the Lithium battery on a load test, and it’s as good today as the day I bought it. I sprayed a little DeOxit on the detector’s battery contacts. Problem solved. Most people would have replaced the Smoke Detector at that point, so the product paid for itself yet again.
